Rivendell is owned and operated by Roland and Sandy Messori who are both graduates of Cal Poly University, California. Sandy earned a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, Roland a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering. Roland has managed the family avocado ranch for the past 40 years. Sandy began selling herbs and scented geraniums at farmer’s markets in the early ’80s. The plant business morphed into essential aromatics and now she sells Rivendell Aromatics products and fruits of the farm at Ojai Farmer’s Market every Sunday.
